University HR System

Payroll, leave, and attendance for a university, with the rules living in the database

An HR system for a university hierarchy, built for Databases I across three milestones: an entity-relationship design of ranks and roles (academic, HR, medical), a relational schema in SQL Server, then a Node.js and EJS web app on top. The business rules live in T-SQL — stored procedures, functions, and triggers generate monthly payroll from attendance, apply bonuses and deductions, and run multi-level leave approvals that check rank, role, and remaining balance. Separate portals serve admins, HR, and academic staff.
